PWHL Ottawa visited Boston at the Tsongas Center on February 21, 2024. This was a rematch of their game just a few days earlier at the Tsongas, which Ottawa came out on top 4-2. That loss was Boston’s fourth in a row, but that streak came to an end Wednesday night. Boston topped Ottawa 3-1 in a solid team effort. Black History Month was celebrated throughout the game, as this was their final home game in February.
Loren Gabel opened up the scoring 7:35 into the first, giving Boston the early 1-0 lead. Alina Müller and Jess Healey picked up the assists on the goal. Kateřina Mrázová tied things up for Ottawa at 16:35 into the first. Daryl Watts and Aneta Tejralová were credited with the assists. Susanna Tapani scored just 45 seconds into the second period, giving Boston the 2-1 lead. Megan Keller and Kaleigh Franklin grabbed the assists. The goal was Tapani’s first goal since being traded to Boston earlier in the month from Minnesota. The goal also proved to be the game winner. Captain Hilary Knight netted an insurance goal 13:49 into the third, which is how this contest ended. Aerin Frankel was outstanding once again, as she stopped 29 of the 30 shots she faced to earn player of the game.

PWHL Boston wrapped up their 6 game homestead with the win over Ottawa. They will now be heading to Minnesota on February 25, 2024. After that, they will be off until March 2, 2024 when they visit Montreal. The next home game at the Tsongas will be on March 10, 2024 against New York.
