Needtobreathe brought The Caves World Tour to the sold out MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, Massachusetts on November 11, 2023. Judah and the Lion opened things up, bringing their high energy folk rock. The band consists of Judah Akers (lead vocals,guitar), Brian Macdonald (mandolin,backup vocals), Nate Zuercher (banjo) Garrett Tyler (drums), Carson Cody (keys) and Dylan Oglesby (electric guitar). They are from Nashville, Tennessee and have released four studio albums. The band’s shows are high energy affairs, with the signature banjo driven folk rock songs. Needtobreathe brought their fantastic, energetic rock music with world class lights and sound in support of their ninth studios album Caves. The band members are Willian Stanley “Bear” Rinehart (guitar,piano,organ,harmonica,lead vocals), Seth M. Bolt (bass,mandolin,back up vocals), Josh Lovelace (organ,piano,mandolin,backup vocals) Randall Harris (drums) and Tyler Burkum (guitar,banjo,back up vocals). They are from Senica, South Carolina, and first came to fame as a Christian rock band. Later they signed with mainstream label Atlantic, and self-identify themselves as a rock band.
Once Needtobreathe took stage, they began their 20 song set with Cave. Some of the fan favorites that were performed included Who Am I, Brother, and Multiplied. They played a string of acoustic songs in the middle, featuring Everknown, Banks, and West Texas Wind. We also got a rendition of Baba O’Riley (The Who) before they went on to close their set out with We Could Run Away. A three song encore for the eager crowd followed their main set. They began with Temporary Tears, before being joined by Judah & The Lion for Dreams. Finally, they oficially closed the night out with an acoustic performance of Washed by the Water.
KEEPING UP WITH NEEDTOBREATHE
Needtobreathe will be wrapping the tour up this week. the final scheduled show is set for November 18, 2023 at the Gas South Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. After a lengthy break, they will then resume things with Judah & The Lion beginning in April of 2024. They have 26 more scheduled dates, set to end June 1, 2024 at the Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. After that, they have one more date planned for June 29, 2024 at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Keith Urban and Lindsay Ell are also on the bill for this show.
