LEVITATE FLANNEL JAM 2023

Levitate Flannel Jam came back to the Marshfield Fairgrounds on October 8, 2023. They also made a stop on Nantucket the following day. Marshfield’s lineup had a few extra acts on the bill, including a special duo set with Mihali (Twiddle) and Jackson Wetherbee (The Elovaters). From the music, to the food and flannels, there was plenty to celebrate.

The Mallett Brothers Band at Soundcheck Studios

THE MALLETT BROTHERS BAND – SOUNDCHECK STUDIOS

The Mallett Brothers Band came to Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, Massachusetts on October 6, 2023. This show was part of their current fall tour. They are an independent band from Maine. Their busy tour schedule since forming in 2009 has helped them to build a dedicated fanbase across the United States and beyond. With a style that ranges from alt-country to Americana, country, jam and roots rock, theirs is a musical melting pot that’s influenced equally by the singer/songwriter tradition as by harder rock, classic country and psychedelic sounds. Nickelback at the Xfinity Center

NICKELBACK – XFINITY CENTER

Nickelback stopped through the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts on August 22, 2023. Josh Ross and Brantley Gilbert were also along for show. Josh Ross performed an eight song set to kick things off. He played all his top hits, and mixed in a cover of The Goo Goo Dolls’ Iris. You can find his setlist from the night online. Brantley Gilbert followed up, and delivered a 16 song action packed set. He began his set with Kick It in the Sticks. From there he mixed in fan favorites such as The Weekend, Son of the Dirty South, and Bottoms Up. He mixed in a few covers, including Blue on Black (Kenny Wayne Shepherd) and A Country Boy Can Survive (Hank Williams Jr.). He also performed a mashup of Blind (Korn), Whatever (Godsmack), and Shine (Collective Soul). Here is a link to his whole setlist from the night. 

Tedeschi Trucks Band came to the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts

TEDESCHI TRUCKS BAND – TD GARDEN

Tedeschi Trucks Band came to the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on September 27, 2023 for their The Garden Parties run of shows. Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real were along for the tour, opening things up for the night. They performed a ten song set, beginning with Sticks and Stones. They mixed in fan favorite Carolina and Find Yourself, and ended with Set Me Down on a Cloud. You can check out their full setlist from the evening.

The Revivalists at Leader Bank Pavilion

THE REVIVALISTS – LEADER BANK PAVILION

The Revivalists stopped by the Leader Bank Pavilion in Boston, Massachusetts. The show took place on August 11, 2023. The Heavy Heavy and Band of Horses opened things up for the night. The Heavy Heavy had a short but sweet set, highlighted by Miles and Miles. Band of Horses came out next, kicking things off with The First Song. From there, they played 13 more songs, including a cover of Brooks and Dunn’s Neon Moon. As for their own hits, they delivered fan favorites like No One’s Gonna Love You, Is There a Ghost, and The Funeral. You can check out their completes setlist from the evening.

DISTURBED – XFINITY CENTER

Disturbed came to the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts on August 18, 2023 for their Take Back Your Life Tour. Jinjer and Breaking Benjamin were also along for the ride on the tour. Jinjer came out first and delivered a six song set. They kicked it off with Perennial, and also jammed a crowd favorite Vortex. Breaking Benjamin then came on stage and pumped out thirteen songs. They began with Failure, off of their 2015 album Dark Before Dawn. From there, they performed top hits like Breath, Dance with the Devil, and I Will Not Bow. Pink Talking Fish at the Paradise Rock Club

PINK TALKING FISH – THE PARADISE ROCK CLUB

Pink Talking Fish rocked out the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, Massachusetts for a devoted crowd. The show took place on Sept 23, 2023 to celebrate their 10-year anniversary. Their music is an enthusiastic fusion of Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, and Phish, but this is no normal tribute band. They take the audience on a mind-blowing musical trip that they have never been on before. The band members are Eric Gould (bass), Cal Kehoe (guitar), Zac Burwick (Drums) and Richard James (keyboard). The story is ever evolving, and the experience is always exciting. SNOOP DOGG – XFINITY CENTER

Snoop Dogg rolled through the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts on July 28, 2023. This show was part of the High School Reunion Tour. It was a crowded bill for the evening, as there were five performers as well as an opening DJ set. The DJ for the night was DJ Drama. Berner, Warren G, and Too $hort followed up with short sets of their own. Wiz Khalifa then came out to set the stage for snoop.

Noah Kahan at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion

NOAH KAHAN – BANK OF NH PAVILION

I was lucky enough to see Noah Kahan at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire. This show took place on September 6, 2023. He was touring in support of his album Stick Season, which was released last year. It was a sold out crowd, mostly rowdy and younger folks. Noah’s music is an infusion of folk, rock and pop music. His songs were resonating with the audience as they sang every word with him. 

Godsmack at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts

GODSMACK – XFINITY CENTER

Godsmack played the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts on July 26, 2023. Mix Master Mike (Beastie Boys) kicked things off for the evening, paving the way for Staind and Godsmack. Mix Master Mike began the night with one of his famed DJ sets, spinning for just over half an hour to get the crowd warmed up. He spun everything from Beastie Boys songs, to songs from bands like Queen and Rage Against the Machine.
