PINK TALKING FISH – THE CABOT

It was a rainy Saturday night. The weather would normally discourage anyone to go out, but not the fans of Pink Talking Fish. Despite the heavy rain, it was a sold out show at the Cabot in Beverly, Massachusetts. Located at 9 Wallis Street, this 850-seat venue hosts some of the hottest events in the scene, from comedians to live music. The concert on March 23, 2024 was a unique and special situation, with both keyboardists on stage together.

PETTY LARCENY – OFF THE RAILS

The award-winning tribute band Petty Larceny brought the music of Tom Petty to St. Patrick’s Day weekend Saturday, March 16th, at Off the Rails in Worcester. The band celebrated “St. Petty’s Day,” which included special guest Dan Villani on electric fiddle and Worcester Mayor Joe Petty introducing the band. DROPKICK MURPHYS – MGM MUSIC HALL

Dropkick Murphys brought their St. Patrick’s Day Weekend Celebration to the MGM Music Hall at Fenway. The show took place on March 15, 2024. This was the second show of a four night run in Boston, and first of three at the MGM Music Hall. The Scratch opened things up for the night, with Pennywise following. Pennywise is on the bill for all four nights, but there is a different opener each night. Pennywise performed fan favorites like Fuck Authority, Stand by Me (Ben E. King), and Bro Hymn throughout their 13 song set leading up to DKM.

PRINCE/BOWIE – THE SINCLAIR

Prince/Bowie came to The Sinclair in Cambridge, Massachusetts on March 1, 2024. Weird Phishes were also on the bill, as they opened things up for the night. This is a band that combines Radiohead and Phish tunes. They kicked their set off with Radiohead’s Airbag. Some other Radiohead songs featured were Reckoner, Paranoid Android, and Optimistic. Carini, Birds of a Feather, and Stash were amongst the Phish songs performed throughout their set. All photographs from the evening were provided by Joanna Gleason.

JOEY HARKUM – ELECTRIC HAZE

Joey Harkum brought The Art of Revenge Tour to the Electric Haze in Worcester, Massachusetts. The show took place on February 24, 2024. 311 – MOHEGAN SUN ARENA

311 came to the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on February 15, 2024. Sitting on Stacy opened things up for the show. Sitting on Stacy kicked off their set with Hope She’s the One. Duppy Conquerors at Soundcheck Studios on 2/9/2024

DUPPY CONQUERORS – SOUNDCHECK STUDIOS

Duppy Conquerors, a Bob Marley tribute band, came to Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, Massachusetts on February 9, 2024. This show was for the Bob Marley Birthday Celebration, and they brought all the classics and fan favorites with them. DJ Jah Rich joined as a special guest for this show as well. This show also happened on the heels of the release of the Bob Marley movie, Bob Marley: One Love. The movie hit theaters February 14, 2024. G. Love and Special Sauce at the City Winery Boston on January 24, 2024.

G. LOVE AND SPECIAL SAUCE – CITY WINERY BOSTON

G. Love and Special Sauce stopped by the City Winery Boston on January 24, 2024. This was the first of back to back nights at the venue. These shows were part of the 30th Anniversary Tour, which consists of 42 total shows. Jakobs Castle is also along for the ride, opening things up each night. Jakobs Castle is fronted by Jakob Nowell, son of the late Bradley Nowell of Sublime. They played a nice little mix of originals and Sublime covers. Originals included Catch Me and Time Traveler, while April 29, 1992 (Miami) and Garden Grove were amongst the Sublime songs featured.
